A Selection of our Treasures
"I am told that they bind...
better at Dublin than anywhere:
pray bring me any one book of
their bindings as well as it can be
done, and I will not mind the price.
If Mr. Bourk's History appears
before you return, let it be that".
Horace Walpole, December 30th,1761.
The above six items are only a small sample of
De Búrca's treasures.
Depicted are five fine Irish Bindings, including the rare edition
of Tacitus, edited by Constantia Grierson, in full turkey
goatskin, and also an autographed original letter of Charles 1.
