First edition of this prayer book. Octavo, original cloth. Presentation copy, inscribed by Muhammad Ali on the front free endpaper,

"To Herald, Pray, Muhammad Ali. Love is the net, where hearts are caught like fish. 6-13-87"

In fine condition. Prayer and Al-Islam was published by the Muhammad Islamic Foundation, started by Muhammad Ali and originally run from his Chicago residence. The author, son of Elijah Muhammad, was responsible for leading the majority of his father's faithful into mainstream Islam in the 1970s; Muhammad Ali was closely involved with his work, and Ali's manager was for decades Warithuddin Muhammad's brother Jabir.
