Easily taken as full morocco this is a quarter binding with leather spine and hard grain morocco imitation cloth on the boards. Covers framed to a panel design by five gilt fillets and a slim Shamrock roll, inner Shamrock fleurons in black with a gilt harp and Shamrocks at centre. Spine divided into six panels by five gilt raised bands, title in gilt direct in the second, the remainder tooled in gilt to a centre-and-corner design with Shamrock in gilt in centre; attractive gold patterened endpapers; gold and green endbands. Neat ink inscription on first blank dated & Dublin 1876&39;.

All edges gilt. Minor foxing but a splendid copy.
