Mullen/ Book-Binder/ 27 Temple-Bar/ Dublin). Covers decorated with a wide palmette gilt-tooled roll, enclosed by a greek-key roll, with gilt-studded corner tools to a floral design.
The spine, which was professionally rebacked, preserving the original, has five gilt raised bands and four gilt-tooled compartments; title lettered in the second and fourth compartments with the imprint and date lettered on the tail; board-edges gilt; turn-ins gilt; marbled end-papers; all edges marbled; cream and white silk end-bands; purple marker. A very attractive example.
