Dublin: Stationery Office, 1932. pp. viii, 245. Red buckram, title in gilt on spine. A fine copy.

In his introduction to the work Dr. Eoin MacNeill writes: “The first text was written in 1650 by Dubhaltach Mac Fir Bhisigh ... [Its] statement and defence (i.e. of the traditional view of Irish genealogical records and their preservation), ... involve many data of particular historical importance ... The second section of material ... bears evidence, linguistic and topographical, of having been composed at a very early date, in the eighth century at latest. The extant versions date at earliest from the fifteenth century ... Section C consists of a body of excerpts mainly of a genealogical kind, forming a continuous collection in the Book of Lecan”.
