Dublin: By Éamonn de Búrca, 1997. Foolscap folio. pp. [xvi], [xxii], 740, [2]. We have republished ‘one of the rarest of all Irish books’, with a new introduction by Pádraig Ó Riain. The edition is limited to 300 copies, and handsomely bound in blue morocco, title in gilt on spine, top edge gilt, gilt Celtic device on upper cover, red silk marker. Fine in slipcase. Lecky described this volume “as one of the most interesting collections of lives of the saints in the world. It is very shameful that it has not been reprinted”. The new introduction by Pádraig Ó Riain contains the first published account of Colgan’s recently discovered manuscript notes to the Triadis
