Out of stock

Dublin: Thom, 1923. Demy octavo. pp. [xvi], 266. Green cloth, titled in gilt. A very good copy. Very scarce.
This is the first and only issue of a proposed annual Irish biographical dictionary. There are sketches of almost 2,500 Irish men and women providing a fascinating mixture of the old and new order at the beginning of the emerging independent Nation, with Michael Collins alongside Countess Markievicz and Viscount Massereene. A very scarce and important biographical work.
