The object of this pamphlet is to explain the principle on which field gates should be hung. It gives instructions with diagram on the important steps in hanging a gate on your land, sturdy enough to resist cattle; stability in all gates that have an oblique or diagonal bar, any gate with parallel lines only are weak, etc.
