Spine evenly suntanned. A fine copy in a handsome binding. Part personal anecdote, part historical account, this work offers a charming insight into the authors home country. Beautifully punctuated with the authors own wood engravings. Edmund Segrave commented on this volume stating “There cannot have been many journeys that havebeen so lovingly, so engagingly described”, and indeed from both the prose and illustrations this volume demonstrated the author passion and love for nature and the country of his birth. The author in his acknowledgement states: “Of the hundreds, not
