Mauve blind-stamped cloth over bevelled boards, title ""Midsummer Eve"" within gilt vignette of flowers, angels, fairies and shamrocks on upper cover. Lower cover has sub-title ""A fairy tale of love"" within similar frame. Title ""Midsummer Eve"", author and gold-blocked decoration on spine. Signed note from the author on front pastedown; two carte-de-visite photographs of the author and his wife, Anna Maria Hall on front endpaper, both signed. Presentation inscription signed by Anna Maria Hall on half title. Light wear to extremities. All edges gilt. A very good copy.
