Such overseas fixtures were significant cultural occasions, reflecting the reach of the G.A.A. among the Irish diaspora in Britain.

Printed predominantly in Irish, the programme reflects the Association’s continued emphasis on national identity abroad, even within an English venue. Contents include full team line-ups, positional breakdowns, substitute panels, scoring grids, and a historical roll of honour of All-Ireland champions.

The bold and highly decorative cover—utilising strong orange colouring with Celtic cross and cartographic motifs—is characteristic of late 1950s G.A.A. graphic design and is particularly striking among surviving examples.
