KENNEDY, John. F. Original Photograph of Kennedy poses with relatives in Dunganstown, Co Wexford, on his visit to Ireland in 1963.

Original Cork Examiner photograph 165x220mm, stamped on verso. In fine condition.
It was his aunt Mary Ryan (left of Kennedy), the US president's second cousin, who hosted the presidential gathering in the yard of the old Kennedy homestead in Dunganstown. It had been concreted over for the occasion at a time when gravel and stones was the norm. She recalled a red phone that was guarded by a member of the Secret Service beside the cow house. “‘Don’t you touch that,’ he told me, ‘that’s a direct line to the White House.’”
