A collection of documents of the utmost importance for family successions and the devolution of land in County Louth from the late thirteenth century to early modern times. Down to the Cromwellian period the documents are concerned mainly with the Dowdall family, who were located in Dundalk and Cooley. They also acted as lawyers, agents and trustees for other landowners in the area.
