First edition. pp. 54. Stiff white wrappers in pictorial dust jacket. Issued in an edition of 250 copies. A fine copy. A modern rarity. The edition was limited to 250 numbered copies of which the first fifty were numbered and signed by the author and artist. This copy is not numbered.

Ewart Milne (1903-1987) was an Irish poet who described himself on various book jackets as “a sailor before the mast, ambulance driver and courier during the Spanish Civil War, a land worker and estate manager in England during and after World War 2” and also “an enthusiast for lost causes – national, political, social and merely human”.
