Shewing the distance of all the Principal Cities, Boroughs, Market and Sea Port Towns, in Ireland from each other. Dublin: Printed for the Author, No. 6, Dame Street, 1786. First edition. Demy octavo. Bound in contemporary full reverse calf, covers framed by a gilt chain-link roll, title in gilt on red morocco label on sympathetically rebacked spine. Signature of previous owner, S. Weldon on titlepage in ink on upper cover. All plates hand coloured. Mild brown staining to fore margin, affecting margin of two plates and some leaves. A very attractive copy.
In addition to the large folding coloured map of Ireland there are engraved views of: The Giants Causeway; A Plan of the Lakes of Killarney (in sepia); The Waterfall of Poll a Phuca near Russborough; Scene of a Round Tower and ruined church (all coloured).
