Contemporary full straight-grained crimson morocco. Covers framed by double gilt fillets, a rope roll and wide interlacing drawer-handle with tassels. Spine divided into six panels with raised bands, title in gilt on black morocco label in the second, year in gilt direct in the second; remainder tooled in gilt to a centre-and-corner design; board-edges gilt; gold endbands. All edges gilt. A fine example of an eighteenth century Irish binding. Extremely rare.
