Dublin and London: Maunsel, 1918. Crown octavo. pp. iv, 46. Green stiff wrappers, title printed in black on upper cover. Previous owner’s signature on upper wrapper. A very good copy.
This statement, prepared for presentation by the Lord Mayor of Dublin for President Woodrow Wilson was almost complete when de Valera was arrested. It was edited for publication by Robert Brennan who added, in line with de Valera’s wishes, a selection of testimonies from “authors unprejudiced in favour of Ireland”.
