London: Bantam Press (Transworld Publishers), 2007. First edition. 4to. .pp. 128. Profusely illustrated in colour throughout. Publisher’s black cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt, in original pictorial dust jacket. Signed and inscribed by Pádraig Harrington to the front free endpaper (“Good luck”), bold signature in black marker. A fine copy in fine dust jacket.

A celebratory account of Pádraig Harrington’s dramatic victory at The Open Championship, Carnoustie, July 2007 — the first Irish winner of The Open in sixty years. Produced in association with the Pádraig Harrington Charitable Foundation, the volume traces his development from Stackstown Golf Club to Ryder Cup stalwart and major champion.

With contributions from Colm Smith, Dermot Gilleece, Karl MacGinty, Charlie Mulqueen, Brian Keogh and Philip Reid, the book combines contemporary reportage, personal reflection and high-quality photographic documentation of the 2007 triumph and its aftermath.

An attractive large-format sporting volume, scarce signed. Particularly desirable in this inscribed state.
