JUDAS PRIEST. Stained Class. UK Tour Programme, 1978. (Signed by Rob Halford and Ian Hill)

Original tour programme issued to coincide with the release of the album Stained Class and the band’s 1978 U.K. tour. Slim quarto. Unpaginated (c. [4] pp.). In excellent condition. Internally clean and well preserved. Signatures strong and unfaded.

Illustrated throughout with striking black-and-white photographic portraits of band members including Ian Hill, Rob Halford, Les Binks, and others. Original pictorial wrappers, printed in black with the distinctive red Judas Priest logo; rear cover advertising the CBS release (CBS 82430) of Stained Class (February 1978).

Boldly signed in blue ink by multiple band members, including clear signatures of Rob Halford and Ian Hill, with additional band autographs present to internal photographic pages. The signatures are large, free-flowing, and well placed against dark backgrounds, offering excellent contrast and display appeal.

A highly evocative artefact from a formative moment in the band’s development, issued at the point where Judas Priest were refining the twin-guitar, high-speed sound that would come to define British heavy metal. Stained Class (1978) is widely regarded as a cornerstone album in the evolution of the genre, bridging the raw energy of early 1970s hard rock with the emerging New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
