Spine divided into six panels by five gilt raised bands, title in gilt direct in the second, the remainder tooled in gilt to a floral pattern with painted onlays; board-edges ruled in gilt; wide gilt doublures; gold patterned endpapers; red, green and brown endbands. Gaufferred edges. Armorial bookplate of Sir William Topham, Knight of the Legion of Honour. Occasional light spotting to prelims and margins of some plates. A near fine copy in a splendid binding.
