Bound in full crimson morocco, covers framed by a single gilt fillet, a slim floral roll and an inner blind roll with gilt fleurons and a crucifex. Spine divided into five panels by four gilt raised bands flanked by double gilt fillets, title in gilt direct in the second, the remainder with gilt decorations. Signature of Justin McCarthy, R.C.C., Mallow, dated May 29th 1840 on front flyleaf. Professional paper repair to top right-hand corner of titlepage and first leaf with miniscule loss to latter. From the library of St. Saviours, Dublin, with their neat embossed stamp. A fine copy in a superb binding.
