Covers framed by double gilt fillets enclosing in gilt on the upper cover the badge of the College. Spine divided into six panels by five gilt raised bands, title on brown morocco label in the second, the remainder tooled in gilt to a centre-and-corner design; board edges hatched in gilt; turn-ins blind tooled; comb-marbled endpapers. Prize label awarded to T.W.K. Shaw on front pastedown, dated 1866. Stamp of Webb & Hunt, Liverpool, on front pastedown. All edges marbled. A very good copy.
