Frederick Holland Mares was the well-known Dublin photographer who specialised in photographing various scenic spots throughout Ireland in the 1850s/60s and 1870s, and he was the first Irish commercial photographer specialising in topographical views.
With views of Sackville Street, Trinity College, The Bank of Ireland, The Four Courts, The Custom House, St. Patrick's Cathedral (exterior and interior), The Chapel Royal, The Viceregal Lodge, Winter Garden Palace, Kingstown and Kingstown harbour. With notes on the history and architecture of each.
