A Photo souvenir booklet of the 1916 Rising: Dark brown oblong booklet with string binding (as issued), featuring an image of the Custom House on the cover. Published by Eason & Son, 1916. There were a number of different versions of this booklet - this is probably the earliest version, containing an introductory page on ‘‘The Six Days’ Rebellion’’ along with 12 views of the post-Rising destruction and portraits of some of the leaders. Pictorial wrappers. A exceptionally fine copy.
Provenance. By descent from Captain Thomas Boylan who served under Eammon Ceannt in the South Dublin Union 1916.
