Bound in full dark blue buckram, title in silver on spines. Top edges in silver gilt. Blue endpapers. Pale blue-white cloth slip case with label and lined with printed paper. Colour plates primarily reproducing watercolours by George Marston are accompanied by plentiful photographs from the Nimrod and Endurance expeditions in black and white plates plus further images in the text.
